Why We Give
Generosity is a response,
not a requirement.
Each person should do as he has decided in his heart — not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver.
2 Corinthians 9:7
Giving is not about earning God's favour, rather it comes from a place of recognising God's grace that has already been shown in the person of Christ.
In other words, we give because God gave first, and gave generously. If you are new to Flourish, please do not feel compelled to give. Your presence is enough of a gift!

God gives first
Every gift begins upstream from us. We never give what we have not first received. In a sense, giving is about far more than finances, but also includes finances.

Giving forms us
Jesus famously said, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." As we grow in our giving we learn that we don't live for our own benefit.

Generosity in gospel partnership
As a church, we are eager to seek gospel partnership outside of ourselves. We hope to see the gospel multiply across Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and beyond. This eagerness is expressed in our giving.
